Medicare Easy Pay

Medicare Easy Pay – Pay Medicare Premiums

So you’re all set to start your Medicare, but how do you go about paying for it? If you’re required to pay a premium for your Part B, I’m going to tell you about one easy way you can do it.

Some people don’t have to pay for Part B of Medicare and I explain who might qualify for that type of assistance in the Medicare Savings Program video.

If You Receive Retirement Benefits From Social Security

If you receive retirement benefits from Social Security then your Medicare premium is automatically deducted from your check every month.

What If You’re Not Receiving Social Security Benefits yet?

However If you’re not receiving Social Security benefits yet, then you’ll be sent a Medicare Premium Bill in the mail to pay quarterly.

From our experience, most of our clients prefer to pay monthly rather than 3 months at a time, so in this case you can sign up for something called Medicare Easy Pay.

What Is Medicare Easy Pay?

Medicare Easy Pay is a free service that deducts your Medicare premium from your checking or savings account each month. And this happens around the 20th of the month.

Two Ways to Sign Up For Medicare Easy Pay

You can sign up two ways.

The first way is to create an account on medicare.gov. Once you create the account, log in and select “my Premiums”. Then click “Sign Up” to complete a short online form.

The second way is an easy form that you fill out and mail back to Medicare. Here’s a  link to the Easy Pay form.

Medicare Processing Time For Medicare Easy Pay

It can take 6-8 weeks for Medicare to process the Easy Pay form. If you get a Medicare Premium Bill in the mail, then that means the form hasn’t been processed yet. You can send in a check or other form of payment until your automatic deductions begin.

Once you get a Medicare statement in the mail that says “this is not a bill”, then you’ll know your Medicare Easy Pay account has been processed.

I hope this information was helpful to you.  If you have any questions please call (800) 783-5901 or email us at Info@usamedicareplan.com.

Our service is 100% free and we’re happy to help you.
